Some of vos3000 users ask me how we will stop one specific gateway to send call vendor side when we do not have balances! Because when prepaid amount finish we do not want to move our calls hitting that vendor & sometime it kills call as well. VOS3000 have solution for that as well, please note for this you must have to maintain proper Clearing Account/Vendor Account/Provider Account – if you do not have this properly set then your call will fail with error code “NoAvailableRouter” – this error can come for many reason in VOS3000 but one of the reason is this. You can set this basically from “System Parameter” options in VOS3000.
It will help to not kill clients valuable traffic which coming at your server.

You have yo make it “On” from here, so vos3000 will check first if you have balances in vendor side or not, if no balances then it will not send calls in that vendor or routing gateway. Please remember: VOS3000 can check only your clearing account balance – so you must have to set your clearing gateway properly in VOS3000 Switch.

Many company or carrier use domain name instead of ip, because sometime they change ip frequently for many reasons. So, people always question me is it possible to send calls to a domain instead of IP Address, the answer is “Yes”. The configure is also very simple, same as ip – just use the domain name in the ip section.

Say for example you have 10/12 clients in same prefix. Some carriers sending wholsale or mixed traffic and some are sending only pure retail traffic. Which one you are over 100% sure and you want those client only pass in the route(vendor) who accept only retail calls like Pakistan Non CLI, Nepal Non CLI or african vendors. Simply you can do it by allowing those client(mapping gw) in VOS3000. So you do not need to change prefix or no need to use many prefix. This is very simple as well, just follow the images below:

This is actually very simple task but many people ask me always from where we will change prefix where client sending one and we need to send another prefix to vendor in VOS3000
Please always remember your clients sending prefix must available be in rate management or calls will not hit till routing gw.
From routing gw- go to edit and then 2nd tab and then last tab callee Rewrite rule where need to use clients sending prefix and vendor prefix
Initial prefix: clients sending prefix (4491-sample image)
Destination prefix: vendor given prefix (807791-sample image)

Many clients and friends asked me for sip trunking solution through vos3000, its very easy in VOS3000 2.1.6.0 version. Sip trunking seems very popular now a days, many people want to use sip login to send calls. This can be done from VOS3000 from Registration management. You can login to any of your sip user via sip trunking with ip or domain name. And you can send calls in those sip login accounts from your vos3000.

This is very simple task but still many clients do not know about it. Vos3000 is mainly for wholesale ip2ip traffic, still sometime need to test calls manually. So many people need it. Vos3000 sip account or pin called “Phone Account”. This must be created under any Account, first you have to make one client and general account and under that you can make “Phone Account”. It will be a sip account and you can login from any sip client software. If you download in your pc must remember your sip port should be open in your country otherwise need to use vpn or you can use web sip client which is encrypted by default.
This is one sip account called “Phone Account”
Here we used microSip client software to login or vos3000 pin test, Now you can dial your required numbers to see if it works or not.
Here from “Data Query” “CDR” you can see what is the issue, in this server it shows “UnRegistered” – this happened because vendor gw or routing gw is not completed. You will see other errors if there is something wrong.

Here i am writing how to block numeric calls, normally this isn’t 100% accurate to do as many retail dialer owner use number pins, by this way they will be blocked too but you can ask your client to use alpha pins as most of dialer or retail traffic owner do it now a days.
Normally Calling Card traffic or mobile operator number traffic have numbers as they want to show their cli, but trader sometime mixed this traffic with non cli routes!
This is way you ALLOW number calls, this is not for non cli gateway owner, this is for people who want to send number calls to CLI route and alpha calls to NON CLI/TDM route. So they can make margin from those.
This is the one for non cli vendor or gateway owner, who want to block number calls in their gateway. You can simply forbidden them by this way. By using * in VOS3000 is basically mean all numbers after that or anywhere if that number exists. So, by using it none of the number calls will hit in your gateway.
Most important: many bad/old VOS3000 have those options but not working, if you need working versions then must let us know, we can help you!
What will be the benefits:
1. You can be sure number calls are nit connecting. (Remember some clever people convert number to alpha and also codec to make their calls look like retail). But you can be safe at least 80%
2. Those types call will not hit gateway and your ports will not be blocked! So your ports will be 100% optimized and get more minutes!

Hello All,
This is one of very important part i am going to write about VOS3000 Server. Before VOS3000 Older versions mostly worked in 32 bit, so in case you used higher RAM but server got extra loaded, like vos3000 2.1.2.4, 2.1.3.2 and some 2.1.4.0 also works mainly 32 bit or custom way they worked on 64 bit server. VOS3000 2.1.6.0 built on pure 64 bit system – if it can be done with perfect Installation with neat and cleanly then you can run good volume calls.
We also suggested before to use Centos minimal versions, so no extra unnecessary apps get installed. This will make the Server little more faster and there are many teaks which need to apply. Yesterday we tested one server with 5000 call loads and works very well without any single issues – many people waste money on server config and use higher config server. If proper way and all teaks done in Operating system then you never need higher config and can save good amount money monthly based.
If you see the Image you will able to see almost 5k cc calls running and Server RAM load is near about 4 GB only where 16GB Ram server is used, this is only happened due to correct OS Choose, Correctly tweaked, only required centos plugins installed, fully optimized and clean full featured real 64 bit VOS3000 2.1.6.0 Installed in Expert Hand.
You can see in the image, G711 codec used which use high B/W, its running CallCenter Traffic, CLI CC traffic, so all call connected and very High CPS Hit Coming to the server which load normally many peoples server cant take.
